Open Improv Workshops

Come and try improv comedy in a relaxed, friendly environment with Camprov!

Our workshops focus on short-form improv games — fun, fast-paced group games inspired by shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway? You don’t need to be funny, confident, or experienced to take part. The aim is to have fun, meet people, and try something new.

Improv is a great way to make friends, build confidence, and spend a Saturday afternoon laughing with supportive people.

Complete beginners welcome

You do not need any previous improv or acting experience! Everything is explained by the workshop leader, and we regularly have complete beginners attending for the first time.

There’s never any pressure to perform. Some games involve the whole group, while others are volunteer-based. We really encourage everyone to give things a try, but you can always participate at your own pace.

We’re a friendly and supportive group, and we often go for coffee after the session as well.

What happens in a session?

A typical workshop includes:

  • Warmup exercises and group activities
  • A variety of short-form improv games
  • Games involving the whole group
  • Optional volunteer games
  • A short break in the middle

Sessions last around 2 hours.
